NCAA Tournament – X’s & O’s – Notre Dame

By Craig LeVasseur

I wasn’t familiar with the Mover-Blocker Offense until I saw this great article from Randy Sherman breaking down Virginia’s Mover-Blocker action. I am not sure if Notre Dame runs Mover-Blocker as a system, or only runs specific sets featuring the same action, but they ran several different options in their NCAA game against Northeastern that displayed a lot of the same tendencies of Virginia’s offense. Here are 3 different options that they ran to perfection in the round of 64.
