Late Game Situations – Southland Thriller

Sam Houston State won in a crazy game over Nicholls State last night. The Bearkats were down by 3 points with about 90 seconds left when Coach Hooten drew up an elevator set play to tie the game. Sam Houston State then got a stop on the next possession and called timeout with about 24 seconds remaining. The Bearkats went straight into the post off of a nice zipper iso play. Nicholls State then came back down and scored on a quick pitch back play for a 3-point shot and went up by 1. Sam Houston quickly got the ball up the floor and scored a last second layup to win the game.
