Professional Development - Basketball Coaching Clinics

The offseason can be packed full of workouts, team camps, tournaments, and open gyms. The teams that put in the work now get to enjoy the fruits of their labor next season. However, what may be overlooked is what are you, the coach, doing to get better this offseason?

Professional development for basketball coaches used to be a trip the the Final Four and a Nike Coaching clinic in Las Vegas. While those two options are still relevant, so many more options have become available to help coaches continue to learn the game.

This is the first in our Professional Development series designed to help coaches “sharpen their axe.”

Coaching Clinics – Coaching clinics have been around forever and have been a staple in basketball coaching development. A great starting point is your state coaches association. Many state coaching associations run great clinics that happen to be a short drive away. Outside of your state coaches association, there are many coaching clinics that are raising the bar when it comes to basketball coaching professional development.

Here are four coaching clinics available this summer and fall that can help basketball coaches at every level.

Team Sports Conference & Expo – June 27-29, 2016

Team Sports Conference & Expo launches in June 2016 at Chicago’s famed Navy Pier, offering team sports industry professionals with an exciting new event for discovering the latest products that will assist in their efforts to develop winning sports programs.
