NextGen Coaches was created by FastModel Sports and CoachingU to do just that: develop the next generation of elite basketball coaches.
The 2019 Final Four in Minneapolis saw two leaders and long-time partners in the basketball coaching industry, CoachingU and FastModel Sports, team up to present the first ever NextGen Coaches event.
An audience of over 250 eager-to-learn coaches from various levels packed a conference room in the Minneapolis Convention Center to hear five current Division I head coaches speak about their personal journeys to the top of the profession. Topics ranged from recruiting, building a staff and program pillars, to professional development and top books for coaches to read. There is no single path to success or to becoming a head coach, and attendees walked away with advice and tools on building their own careers in coaching.
