These plays and drills were the coaching community’s favorites and most downloaded diagrams from the PlayBank in 2022.

Another year is in the books. Like many of you, we like to do a little reflecting in the new year. And as we do every year, we dug into the PlayBank, the internet’s best resource for #XsOs, to see which diagrams coaches loved the most over the last 365 days based on total downloads. The results are always interesting and eye-opening into what actions, concepts and strategies are trending upward each season.

It feels like it was just February 2022 and we were celebrating the PlayBank reaching 10,000 total diagrams. Today we’re currently at 10,587 and counting. We truly believe there’s no better place online for coaches to search, save and share plays and drills with each other. (Nearly 47,000 total downloads and over 8 million total visits to the site last year speak volumes toward this belief.)

You’ll see a few familiar favorites that make this list every year, but take note of the newbies that clawed their way into the top 22 because they made it this high for a reason: coaches wanted them in their libraries. From zone offenses and press breaks to WNBA and international sets, what you see below were the PlayBank’s cream of the crop in 2022.
